Validation Warning: Beatport

When trying to distribute your release, if you have not correctly entered the metadata (the release information), the system may detect a validation error that will appear when clicking the following button on the "4. Preview and Distribute" tab:

If the following message appears when you select the button ("Channel does not accept genre... / This release's label does not have permissions to distribute to this channel"):

This is not a validation problem, but a warning that the content will not be distributed to this channel because the necessary permission is not available.

Beatport is a channel reserved for electronic music labels, which requires a specific permission to be able to distribute.

What should I do?

Accessibility to Beatport is not related to release validation.

1. If the button is still red ("Validate this release"): There is still a validation problem present in the metadata, you can check how to solve it here.
2. If the button is green ("Distribute this release"): The release is now ready to be distributed and you can proceed to select all available channels.
