Our distribution platform assigns automatically and free of charge the ISRC and UPC codes (digital distribution barcode, more information here) once the release has been approved by Quality Control. You just have to create and configure your album, and when you get to the "UPC" or "ISRC" part, if you don't have the codes, simply check the box that says "I don't have a UPC / ISRc code, assign one to this album".
The UPC code used for physical distribution cannot be the same as that used for digital distribution and vice versa.
Once the digital distribution order has been made with La Cupula Music, your album will be reviewed by Quality Control. Once it is approved by QC, you will be able to find the codes that have been assigned. For more information about our Quality Control here.
ISRC codes are also valid to be embedded in an album's master.
The legal deposit is a service that we offer and that you can hire here: http://www.lacupulamusic.com/?product=asignacion-deposito-legal
In order to distribute in physical stores, what is important to include on the back cover of the CD is:
- The barcode (UPC) more information here
- Legal deposit
- The copyright warning, such as: "All rights reserved by the owner of the work", including information related to Copyright: year and name of the right holder. In the case of a physical copy on CD with content licensed under Creative Commons, it must be expressly indicated and indicate the type of license that corresponds.
About the service:
