QC Timing is a term for validation, not approval.
The term validation is used for all the content that has already been reviewed by the Quality Control Team. In order to start the process, a distribution order has to be made from the End-user.
The process of validation may take up to 72h (working days). If there is a particular case in which the content may take longer to be reviewed due to its nature, the user will be informed by email.
Validation can happen by one of these 2 actions, depending on the status of the content reviewed:
- Approval: It means that the content fulfills La Cupula Music's Quality Control standards, therefore it is approvedand automatically distributed to the selected DSPs.
- Ticket to the user: When a release is not approved, a ticket explaining why it is not eligible for approval, giving the user information in order to fix it.
Since the creation of the ticket, the user has a 30 period to fix the content and let La Cupula Music's QC team know through that same ticket. Otherwise, after 30 days, the content will be rejected and removed from the queue.
The standards for the QC team to approve a release are detailed in the Style Guide.
Here you can find moe information on how the distribution process works.
