Apple Artist ID is now available

The Apple Artist ID is automatically assigned to each artist who uploads their work to the iTunes Store. Artists can now enter their Apple IDs in SonoSuite.

As soon as the artist's work is available on iTunes, your Artist ID can be obtained at the following link: https://linkmaker.itunes.apple.com/.

The instructions to obtain the Artist ID are:

1. Search for the artist at https://linkmaker.itunes.apple.com/.
   
   
2. Click on "Store Link" 
   
   
   
3. The ID appears after the letters "id" in the pop-up window (in the example the ID is 123070731) 
   
   
   

NOTE: Please make sure the link is the artist page, not the album page. The format should be https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/[ ARTIST NAME] / id [APPLE ARTIST ID]

The fact of entering the Artist ID in the corresponding field, ensures that each album, single, EP or ringtone is correctly assigned to the artist. This is especially important and useful in cases where the artist or band name already exists in the iTunes Store.
